iPhone 5 photography
Little killers. A cluster of poisonous mushrooms by our willow tree. Shot from ground level with the iPhone using the olloclip wide angle lens attachment. The foreground was a little dark under the mushroom caps so I edited in PhotoWizard creating a mask and raising the exposure.
Fun little project. Enjoy, Jeff

Talia
This is Talia, one of our beautiful grandchildren. Shot in ambient light on a cloudy day with the wonderful Sony RX10 bridge camera. I am really loving this camera. It functions like a small DSLR with a great 24-200mm 2.8 Zeiss lens. Great skin tones and sharpness. Minimal editing in iPhoto was required. Enjoy, Jeff

Block Party
at 200mm
24mm
Famous Perrecca's Bakery in Schenectady had a block party last night. Jeanette and I went and had great Italian food and good dancing to the Refrigerators.
Notice the impact of the second band shot with the third. The second image was shot from waist level to create a more dynamic perspective. Eye level with viewfinder for the third. I used my mini DSLR Sony RX10 on auto WB, f4 and ISO 800 to get a fast shutter speed. Virtually no editing was needed! Enjoy, Jeff

KONICA MINOLTA 7D DSLR
I have been waiting for my schedule and bad weather to synchronize during the Saratoga racing season. Well, Wednesday it happened. My good friend Bob got me a back stretch pass ( he owns race horses) and I was like a little kid in a toy store. The weather was perfect! I used a Tamron 28-300mm zoom lens on the KM DSLR. Settings to allow stop action were ISO 800, f11 for DOF and Tv of 1/250 sec. I used a monopod for stability and used in camera Image Stabilization. WB was auto. The images were edited in Adobe PS CS. Enjoy, Jeff

Lady with Parasol
Digital photography has advanced so much. This photograph was taken in Washington Park today as an original color photograph with my Sony RX 10. Using the Sony PlayMemories Mobile photo app on my iPhone 5s, I transferred the image into my iPhone using the Wi-Fi network that the camera creates for this purpose. In the iPhone I was then able to edit the photograph in Snapseed and then again in PhotoWizard to create the final black-and-white image.
This application with modern Sony cameras allows you to use your iPhone as a computer editing station. Enjoy, Jeff
