Symbols of Memphis

These photos were shot with my Fuji X10. The magic for me however is in the iPad where using several programs I combined them in a colorful, punchy way. I started with the jukebox in Blur Fx where I blurred the background, added a vignette. Then I took the Memphis sign, cropped it and saved it. Blender was next where I blended both images. From there it went to Camera+ for Clarify and Frames. What a fun, relaxing thing to do on a damp cold Saturday morn in the North East. Enjoy, Jeff

iphone Madness

The great joy in iPhoneography is the limitless creative fun one can have with an ordinary image. These colorful gum ball machines were snapped at the mall. The I put the image through Blur Fx, masking the blue gum balls from the blur. I used a Gaussian blur at 75%, boosted saturation and contrast. Next the image went to Photoforge to get a combined watercolor and oil painting overlay. From there to LoMob for a postcard look. Then I picked a pink color from the Benjamin Moore paint selection App, snapped a photo of it in the iPhone. Last step was using Blender to combine the images using Overlay at 75% to add the touch of pink. Voila!
C'est magnifique, no?!
Enjoy, Jeff
