The subject

One of the greatest mistakes that landscape photographers can make is trying to capture the entire scene and divide the scene between sky and foreground trying to get equal emphasis on each. What really is to decide what part of the scene is most important and most interesting. In this case the stormclouds brewing above the Caribbean Sea created greater interest than the beautiful green see below. Furthermore conversion to black and white brought this out in a dramatic fashion. Lesson here is don't try to divide the scene between the land, the sea or the sky. Pick what is most dominant and photograph that. Enjoy,Jeff
