We love county fairs! Jeanette and I went to the Saratoga County Fair today and it was a HOOT!! I used my Nikon D7200 with a Rokinpn 8mm wide lens. Focusing is hyperfocal at f8 at .4-.3 meters. I only had to set exposure with Tv and ISO.
The lens, effectively a13.5mm lens on a Nikon APS-C camera gets in so much and creates an artisitic wide angle distortion that I like. Editing was simply in iPhoto. I even won a stuffed shark for Jeanette throwing darts. Enjoy, Jeff
